Additional tips are the following:
Don’t bring or wear jewelry on the boat that may come loose while you are in the water. My daughter lost one of her earrings while washing her hair in the water one day. These earrings happen to be a graduation gift and not the type of earring she should have been wearing while washing her hair in the sea. Instead wear jewelry that looks like fine jewelry that is gold plated like rings and earrings from AdornMonde.
Expensive designer leather bags or wallets should probably be left at home. Unless you do not mind that the leather gets ruined on your Chanel quilted wallet, you should probably leave it at home or in your room on the boat at all times. The chances that you may drop your bag into the water while getting on and off the tender to go to shore during the day are pretty high. Also, if you go on a water taxi, those taxis move quite a bit while you are boarding. Bring a straw handbag instead and use a temporary wallet or a travel wallet or something less expensive for your water adventure.
Keep it simple – that means – other than sunscreen, moisturizer, and mascara and or blush and gloss, you will probably not really want to be putting on a full face of make up in the bathrooms of your cabin. We had a brand new boat and the cabins and bathrooms were spacious for a 45 foot double hull boat, but while the boat is anchored during the day, you will most likely not want to hang out below deck for too long putting on alot of make up. And the wind, sun, and heat will have you reapplying sunscreen all day long while you are sweating it off, so your make up won’t really stay on anyhow.
Forget the heels- Most likely your flat thong sandals will be your dressy sandal for dinners out unless you want to change your sandals after getting off the tender on shore. It is not going to be that convenient to wear a pair of heels from the boat onto the tender and off the tender onto shore.
