Matilda Park City is the dinner stop in my Utah photos, and the table tells the story: a blistered flatbread, a dish of beet spread and a menu built around sharing. I like a mountain-town dinner that does not require a separate suitcase of evening clothes. For this one, I would start with a soft knit, a good pair of trousers and boots, then let one small bag or a pair of gold earrings make it feel like dinner rather than the end of a travel day.
The flatbread came out puffed and blistered beside a dish of beet spread with radishes. It is the kind of table where a soft knit and boots feel right.

Matilda Park City: A Dinner Built Around Sharing
Matilda is at 1600 Snow Creek Drive, next to Five5eeds, from the team behind that Park City restaurant. The current menu moves from little shares to bigger dishes and sourdough pizza. My photographed menu has flatbread, beet and walnut spread, stracciatella and several larger plates. It is a snapshot of my visit, not a promise that every dish will be there when you go. I would check the current menu before making plans and choose around the table rather than treating dinner as a list to tick off.
For the first outfit, the pale V-neck merino sweater with the espresso ribbed kick-flare pants is the easy combination. Primrose has a deep V-neckline with lace detailing and a merino wool knit that gives the outfit texture without a busy pattern. The pants keep a close line through the leg before the small flare. I would check their length with the boots I plan to wear; a hem that works with flats may sit differently over a lug sole.
The brown shearling lug boots make more sense here than a delicate evening shoe. Marley has the substantial shape I want with the ribbed pants, and the dark brown keeps the palette warmer than an all-black outfit. I am choosing these for the look, not claiming they are certified snow or ice footwear. The cherry leather top-handle bag is the color: compact, structured and enough of a change from the soft clothes to make the outfit feel considered.

Roasted Carrots and a More Tailored Dinner Look
My carrots photo shows glossy roasted carrots finished with a scattering of seeds and herbs. Share plates like this give a table its own point of view. I would leave room for what looks good on the night rather than build the whole reservation around an older photograph. The food is the reason to go; the clothes should let you sit comfortably and stay for the meal.

If you like a sharper line, start with the grey and purple plaid wool trousers. Winston gives the edit its pattern without adding another printed top. I would pair them with the wheat sleeveless knit vest for an indoor dinner outfit, then use a layer already in the suitcase for the journey there. The vest has a longer, relaxed line. Check that proportion against the waistband and trouser rise rather than assuming every loose knit will tuck neatly.
The wide coffee suede belt is for the outfit that needs more definition, not something I would add automatically over every knit. Its broad shape is the detail, so I would keep the rest simple. For jewelry, the sculptural gold earrings are enough. Lowe has a rounded, substantial silhouette that reads clearly beside a plain neckline. I would skip an extra necklace here and let the earrings be the one bright finish at the table.

Small Extras for the Rest of the Park City Stay
A dinner edit still needs to make sense in the rest of the bag. The brown scarf cape adds a warm layer over the pale sweater and espresso pants. It drapes like a wrap and wears like a scarf, which makes it an easy piece to pack for a mountain weekend. My restaurant photos do not establish the temperature for a future trip, so I would check the weather before deciding how much outerwear to pack.
The chocolate shearling gloves are another weather-dependent addition. This Owen Barry collaboration is a different texture from a knitted glove, and the deep chocolate brown sits easily with the rest of the edit. Check the current size options rather than treating gloves as one-size accessories. For daylight hours, the ivory cat-eye sunglasses lighten the palette. Hypnosis is the contrast to the heavier boots and dark trousers, not a piece I need to wear into dinner after dark.
For the travel days around it, I keep a cashmere travel wrap in my bag for the plane and the walk to dinner, a leather passport cover so the documents stay in one place, and a cashmere knit beanie for the walk back in the cold. None of the three takes up much room, and each one earns its place.
For a smaller dinner bag, the toffee leather mini top-handle bag is the alternative to the cherry bag. Nano Montreal has a sculptural flap and a narrow gold-tone front detail. It is a small carry, so I would compare its dimensions with the phone and essentials I actually take out. I would choose one of these two bags for the trip, not pack both just to make a different outfit each night.

What to Wear to Matilda Park City
My formula is a knit, trousers and boots, with a small bag and one piece of jewelry doing the evening work. The pale sweater with espresso pants is the softer version; the wheat vest and plaid trousers are the more tailored one. Both keep the attention on the table. Use what is already in your wardrobe first, then choose the piece that actually changes the outfit. There is no need to dress for an imaginary ski scene when the plan is dinner.
For practical planning, check Matilda’s official menu and reservation options before you go. The restaurant currently lists dinner from 5 p.m. My photos are the personal part of this post; current hours, dishes and availability can change. That distinction matters more than promising the same plate will arrive on every visit.
