Looking for a Beth Dutton coat? The blanket patterns, big collars and boots are what make the look so good. You do not need to dress like you are headed to the ranch to wear it. A patterned coat over jeans and a simple sweater is enough. Add a beautiful Western boot and you have an outfit for a fall weekend, a mountain dinner or a day in town.
The original coats are below, along with similar blanket coats, office blazers, leather, denim, shearling, puffer and utility jackets. I also added tall Western boots, short booties, platform styles, three office-inspired bags and the small accessories that finish the look. The alternatives are inspired by Beth’s wardrobe, not claimed to be the exact Yellowstone costumes. Shop the photos or the links beneath each pick. Sizes and colors can change, so check your size before ordering.
Which Beth Dutton Coat Is the Original?
The turquoise Pagosa Springs cloak is a Lindsey Thornburg design made from Pendleton blanket fabric. Pendleton confirms that the Pagosa Springs pattern was worn by Beth Dutton in Yellowstone. Lindsey Thornburg also includes it in the label’s official Yellowstone collection, alongside the Harding Shearling Collar Vera Aviator.
That distinction matters. Lindsey Thornburg is the designer, Pendleton makes the blanket fabric, and a similar printed coat is a styling alternative. A character name on a listing does not make it the original. I have kept the two designer pieces separate from the shoppable alternatives below.
Lindsey Thornburg Pagosa Springs Yellowstone Classic Cloak

This is the recognizable turquoise blanket-pattern cloak. The bell shape, roomy hood and three toggle closures make it the statement piece of the outfit. The designer describes a fully lined cloak with welt patch pockets. It has the kind of generous shape that looks good over a slim knit and dark denim.
I would keep everything else simple with this one. Black jeans and black boots let the turquoise do the work. Compare the measurements with a coat you own, especially if you prefer a narrower fit. The original design is shown for reference; it is not linked for shopping here.
Lindsey Thornburg Harding Vera Aviator

If you like the blanket pattern but want less volume, the cropped aviator is the other original designer option. It has a shearling collar, raglan sleeves, zip fastenings and slanted welt pockets. Lindsey Thornburg lists it in the official Yellowstone edit.
The shorter shape works with high-rise denim or a long plain skirt. You can leave the collar as the only extra detail and skip a scarf. This original is also shown without a shopping link. The four coats below are similar styles, not verified screen-worn coats.
Shop a Similar Beth Dutton Coat: Pendleton Harding Wool Poncho

The poncho is the easy, relaxed option. The graphic Harding pattern gives you the blanket look without the full cloak. Pendleton describes a stand collar, neck button closure, roomy pockets and blanket-stitch trim. Wear it over a fitted black layer with straight jeans, then add a plain boot. The open shape feels different from a tailored coat, so choose it for the drape rather than assuming it will provide the same coverage.
Shop the Harding wool poncho here.
Pendleton Harding Reversible Wool Coat

For a more conventional coat shape, try the Harding reversible coat. The relaxed fit and front pockets make it an easy layer over a turtleneck. The jacquard weave changes tone on the reverse, so you can choose the side that works with your outfit. I like the idea of dark denim and a black boot underneath, with the pattern as the only print.
Shop the Harding reversible coat here.
Pendleton Timberline Wool Coat

The black and tan Timberline gives you a strong pattern in colors that are easy to repeat in your wardrobe. This is the one to consider if turquoise is not your color. A cream sweater, dark jeans and a black boot will keep the whole look pulled together. Let the coat be the statement rather than adding another bold print.
Shop the Timberline wool coat here.
Pendleton Harding Archive Blanket Coat

The tan Harding Archive blanket coat brings in warmer color. The red and golden accents look especially good with simple dark denim. It is another way to get the Western blanket feeling without buying a costume replica. I would wear it with a fine knit underneath and keep the bag small and plain.
Shop the Harding Archive blanket coat here.
Western Boots to Wear with a Beth Dutton Coat
These Tecovas boots are styling picks, not confirmed Beth Dutton screen boots. Choose the height and calf fit that work for you. A patterned coat already has plenty going on, so a solid boot is the easiest way to finish the outfit.
The Annie in Midnight

The Annie has a tall 14-inch shaft, tonal stitching and a snip toe. Midnight is the classic dark option for jeans and a patterned coat. It also works with a plain midi dress when you want the boots to show.
Shop The Annie in Midnight here.
The Sadie in Toasted Almond

The Sadie has an 11-inch shaft, a snip toe and seven-row Western stitching. The shorter height is a good alternative if you do not want a boot as tall as the Annie. The warm neutral color is especially pretty with tan blanket patterns.
Shop The Sadie in Toasted Almond here.
The Abby in Midnight

The Abby is the taller statement option, with a 17-inch shaft and Western flame stitching. I would pair it with a simple skirt or narrow denim rather than a busy printed dress. Check the fit details for the color you choose.
Shop The Abby in Midnight here.
The Annie Wide Calf in Bone

If you need more room through the calf, look at the Annie Wide Calf rather than sizing up blindly in the regular boot. Bone gives you a lighter option with the same tall Western silhouette. Compare the calf measurements and check the selected color before ordering.

Alaia Platform Bootie: A Similar Season 5 Look
If you prefer the dressier bootie Beth wears in season 5, look for a suede ankle boot with a platform and a tall slim heel. Shop Your TV and Spotern identify her episode 3 pair as black and grey Alaia suede boots. The two-tone panel design is different from the laser-cut pair below, so this is a similar Alaia option, not a claim that it is the exact screen style.

This pre-owned Alaia bootie has the rounded toe, suede, platform and high slim heel that give the season 5 look its drama, with a laser-cut pattern instead of the original two-tone panels. The current listing is EU 36.5 only, in good used condition with discoloration, darkening and wear noted by the seller. It is not a new full-size run, and it is not advertised as the pair used on screen. Check every condition photo and the measurements before ordering.
Shop the similar pre-owned Alaia platform bootie here. I would wear this with a plain knit and dark denim for dinner. This is a high-heel fashion boot, not a snow or walking boot.
Get the Season 5 Bootie Style: New Retail Alternatives
The original two-tone Alaia pair is sold out at the resale listing linked by the outfit-identification source. For the same dressier direction, look for a dark ankle boot, a platform and a high heel. These new-retail options borrow parts of the look; neither is the exact black-and-grey screen boot.
Daniel Ranny Black Suedette Platform Bootie

The Ranny is the closest of these two in silhouette: a black faux-suede ankle boot with a slim high heel and a platform. It has a pointed toe instead of the original rounded toe, and it is all black rather than two-tone. The stretch upper and inside zip keep the outline clean. I would wear it with narrow dark jeans and a plain sweater so the boot and coat have room to show.
Shop the similar Ranny platform bootie here. Check current sizing, international delivery and return terms before ordering from this UK retailer.
Steve Madden Cecil Black Suede Platform Bootie

The Cecil keeps the black suede and dramatic platform but changes the heel to a wedge. It is a platform-style alternative, not a stiletto lookalike. Choose this direction if the suede and height are what you like about Beth’s boot rather than the slim heel. Wear it with straight jeans or a simple skirt, keeping the rest of the outfit quiet.
Shop the Cecil platform bootie here. Both options are high-heel fashion footwear, not winter traction boots. Availability was checked in selected sizes; compare measurements and check your own size.
Beth Dutton Jackets: Blazers, Leather, Denim and Winter Layers
The blanket coat is only one part of this look. I like the contrast between Beth’s sharp office tailoring and the softer, practical layers she wears around the ranch. Below are similar styles for each direction, not a claim that every jacket appeared on screen. Keep the palette black, brown, cream or olive and let the shape do the work.
Beth Dutton Blazer: A Glen-Plaid Office Look

Beth’s grey glen-plaid single-button blazer in season 5 episode 1 is identified by WornOnTV as Alexander McQueen. For a similar office-to-dinner look, I would choose this Quince Italian wool-blend blazer in Classic Glen Plaid. It is oversized rather than the sharply fitted screen jacket, with notched lapels, a single-breasted front and flap pockets. Wear it with a white tee, dark straight jeans and a slim ankle boot. Check the shoulder and body measurements if you want less volume.
Shop the glen-plaid wool-blend blazer here.
Beth-Style Leather Motorcycle Jacket

A black leather biker gives you the harder edge without copying a whole television outfit. This sheep-leather version has a belted hem, snap lapels and zip details. I would put it over a floral midi dress with plain black boots, or wear it with dark jeans and a soft cream knit. The retailer notes a slim fit and suggests sizing up between sizes.
Shop the black leather motorcycle jacket here.
Beth-Style Denim Jacket for Ranch-Inspired Outfits

For the casual side of the wardrobe, start with a clean indigo denim jacket. This organic-cotton version has chest pockets and a regular fit. I like it over a simple dress with Western boots, or with black denim so the outfit does not become a head-to-toe blue uniform. Consider more room if you want to wear a thick sweater underneath.
Shop the indigo denim jacket here.
Beth-Style Shearling Bomber Jacket

A black shearling bomber brings the warmth and texture of the ranch look without a busy blanket print. This is real shearling sheepskin, with leather trim, a removable hood and a buckled collar. It is a substantial cold-weather layer, not a light leather jacket. I would keep the rest simple with cream knitwear and dark jeans. The retailer says it runs large, so check the measurements before choosing.
Shop the black shearling bomber jacket here.
Beth-Style Puffer Jacket: A Polished Winter Alternative

If you prefer a puffer to a wool coat, this black leather version gives the practical shape a dressier finish. It has recycled-polyester insulation and a faux-fur-lined hood; the filling is not down and the hood lining is not shearling. I would wear it with black denim and a lug boot for town. Leather does not make it a technical ski jacket, so keep purpose-built outerwear for the slopes.
Shop the black leather puffer jacket here.
Beth-Style Utility and Chore Jacket

An olive chore jacket is the easy everyday layer in this group. The organic cotton twill has a little stretch, with patch pockets and a standard fit. I would wear it with a white tee, straight denim and a short Western boot. This is a transitional-weather option, not the coat for a freezing Montana morning.
Shop the olive chore jacket here.
Beth Dutton Booties: Western Ankle Boots and Lug-Sole Chelsea Boots
The tall cowboy boots above give you the most obvious Western silhouette. Short booties make the same mood easier with straight jeans, while the platform picks bring in Beth’s dressier city side. Choose the shape for the outfit, then check the size and sole for what your day actually involves.
Western Ankle Bootie: The Tecovas Daisy

The Daisy in Midnight is a short Western bootie with a snip toe, inside zip and a 6-inch shaft. The leather heel is 2.5 inches, so it gives you more lift than a flat everyday boot. I would wear it with cropped straight denim or a midi dress when I do not want a tall shaft. It is a similar Beth-style choice, not an identified screen boot.
Shop The Daisy Western bootie in Midnight here.
Suede Lug-Sole Chelsea Bootie for Everyday Outfits

This black suede Chelsea boot has elastic side panels, a leather lining and a rubber lug sole. It is the lower, chunkier option beside the high platform styles. The suede has a water-repellent treatment, but that does not mean waterproof or ice-proof. I like it with an olive utility jacket and dark jeans for a casual version of the look. The retailer suggests checking its half-size-down fit guidance.
Shop the black suede lug-sole Chelsea boot here.
Beth Dutton Bags: Three Office-Inspired Styles
The bag changes the whole outfit. Shop Your TV identifies the brown season 5 episode 3 bag as ba&sh Teddy and the black season 5 episode 13 bucket bag as Jenni Kayne. The earlier black woven office-bag look has a studded strap, but I am not naming a designer without a clear identification. These are similar alternatives, with the differences spelled out.
Brown Shoulder Bag Like Beth’s ba&sh Teddy

The brown Teddy reference has a flap and decorative buckle. This whiskey suede saddle bag takes the warm brown, curved flap and crossbody direction instead. It is suede, not the same leather bag, and the flap does not have Teddy’s decorative buckle. The nappa leather trim and adjustable strap make it easy with a patterned coat or an olive jacket. Keep the boots simple so the textures do not compete.
Shop the whiskey suede saddle bag here.
Black Bucket Bag Like Beth’s Jenni Kayne Mini

The clean black bucket shape is the quietest of the three. This Penelope Small Shoulder Bag has pebbled leather, a suede lining, a toggle closure and a removable pouch. It is a similar silhouette, not the Jenni Kayne mini, and its proportions are different. I would carry it with the glen-plaid blazer or a big blanket coat when I want the bag to disappear into the outfit.
Shop the black Penelope shoulder bag here.
Black Woven Shoulder Bag for Beth’s Office Look

This Elodie bag gives you the black woven-leather texture of the earlier office-bag reference. It is handwoven sheep leather with a zip closure, but it does not have the reference bag’s studded strap. I would choose it for the texture rather than call it an exact copy. It works with a plain blazer, black jeans and either a Western bootie or a slim platform heel.
Shop the black Elodie woven shoulder bag here.
Beth-Style Cowgirl Hat: Cream Wool

A cream cowgirl hat gives you the Western finish without another dark piece. The Tecovas Belle has a pinch-front crown, a curved brim and a grosgrain band with a removable horseshoe pin. It is a similar styling option, not a claim that Beth wore this hat. Measure your head and compare the retailer’s size guide; do not choose a hat size by your clothing size. I would pair it with the indigo jacket and one of the simpler boots.
Shop The Belle wool cowgirl hat in Cream here.
Beth-Style Western Belt and Accessories

A black leather Western belt is the small detail that connects an office blazer to cowboy boots. This Lola belt has a silver-tone buckle and two metal keepers, with a one-inch strap. I would put it through dark denim rather than buckle it over a big patterned coat. Measure where you plan to wear it: your waist and the top of your jeans may need different sizes.
Shop the black leather Western belt here. For the emerald necklace, sunglasses and dresses that finish the look, see the full Beth Dutton outfit guide. I would keep the accessories quieter when the coat has a strong pattern.
How to Wear the Coats Without Looking Like a Costume
Start with one statement piece. If the coat has a big blanket pattern, keep the knit, jeans and bag quiet. Dark denim makes the brighter coats easier to wear; cream and tan layers soften the neutral ones. Pick a boot that fits your foot and calf first, then decide how much shaft you want to show.
These are fashion outfit ideas, not a promise of winter-weather performance. Western boots are not automatically snow boots. For ice, deep snow or a long day outside, choose footwear and outerwear designed for those conditions. Before buying, check the current fabric, care instructions, measurements and return terms.
For more outfit ideas, see the Beth Dutton boots, hats, jewelry and dresses guide and what to wear in Aspen in fall. The products in this guide have not been personally tested. Availability was checked when the guide was updated; individual sizes may sell out.
