The Cabo Birthday Packing Edit
Pack one familiar walking shoe, flat sandals, a swimsuit, a cover-up, two daytime outfits, one dinner dress and a knit that works with everything. Add sleepwear, underwear, toiletries, medicines and chargers. I own the Dryel at-home dry cleaning kit and I rebuy it. I use it to refresh ski jackets and ski pants, cashmere sweaters in winter, and silk dresses and tops before events. I also put sofa and cushion covers in the dry-clean bag and run them in the dryer at home instead of sending them out, since they often shrink or lose things at the dry cleaner. It takes a few hours. Before a trip I do it two days ahead, which is what I do before ski trips and international trips, so everything is ready to pack. I have done this many times. Found something last minute to pack? A handheld clothes steamer presses it fresh in minutes, even when it is too late for the dry cleaner.
