A Las Vegas weekend can be built around a concert, a long dinner and one good outfit that makes the whole evening feel like an occasion. Seeing Adele was the reason for this trip. The dinner tables and late-night lights were part of the fun, but the packing lesson is simple: take clothes that feel dressed without making the evening uncomfortable.
An Adele Night to Remember
These are memories from Adele’s Las Vegas residency, not a guide to booking a show now. Her final residency performance was in November 2024. If you are planning a new concert weekend, choose the current show first and build dinner around its location and start time.
A black dress is an easy starting point. Add a polished shoe you can walk in and a small bag that meets the venue’s current rules. Keep a light layer close for the hotel and the theatre, and wear the shoes before the trip rather than testing them on the way to your seats.
Dinner Before the Show
Carbone was one of the dinners on this trip. For a new weekend, Carbone at ARIA is the Italian-American option to plan before you leave. Read the current cancellation terms when choosing a table, and do not build a tight concert schedule around a reservation you have not secured.
Two More Las Vegas Restaurants to Plan Around
For a supper-club evening, Delilah at Wynn pairs American dining with live entertainment. Wynn says reservations can book well in advance and walk-in availability is very limited. Its current dress guidance excludes athletic apparel, shorts, swimwear and flip-flops, so keep the daytime outfit separate from dinner.
For a small chef’s-counter evening, é by José Andrés is a different plan entirely: nine seats and a Spanish avant-garde tasting menu. Tickets open three months ahead, with a waitlist when a date is unavailable. Treat it as the main event rather than squeezing it in before another show.
Give dinner enough time to be part of the evening, not a meal squeezed between getting ready and the first song. Book the table before the trip, check the dress code and leave room for the walk through the hotel. Being in the same resort does not always mean the restaurant is right beside the theatre.
A Little Color After Dark
The easiest evening wardrobe does not need sequins from head to toe. One bright detail, an earring or a small bag can change a simple dress. A fitted top with tailored trousers is just as useful if you prefer separates. I would keep the shape clean and let the room’s lights do the rest.

Las Vegas by Day: Breakfast, a Walk and Pool Time
Pack one quieter daytime outfit for breakfast and a walk. Straight trousers, a fitted tee or soft knit and comfortable shoes can also be your plane outfit. If the weekend includes pool time, add one swimsuit and a cover-up rather than a separate wardrobe for every part of the day. A pair of sunglasses and a bag that closes are the small pieces you will use again throughout the weekend.
What to Wear in Las Vegas: Dinner and Pool Packing Edit
For a Las Vegas weekend, choose your dinner outfit first, then add the pieces that work around it. These eight picks move between a glamorous evening and a quieter pool afternoon. You do not need both dresses: choose the one that fits your plans and use the accessories to pull it together.
Blue-to-Gold Sequin Midi Dress by Alice + Olivia

Alice + Olivia Fifi sequin midi dress: The blue-to-gold ombre sequins make this fitted midi feel right for a Las Vegas dinner. Thin straps and a straight neckline keep the shape simple, so the color can do the work. Wear it with a small metallic bag and keep the rest of the outfit quiet.
Bronze Metallic Clutch with a Sculptural Knot by Cult Gaia

Cult Gaia Lisse bronze clutch: A bronze clutch is softer than bright silver and works with both a black gown and a colorful dress. The gathered front and sculptural clasp give this small bag the feel of an accessory chosen for the whole outfit, rather than an afterthought.
Gold Tie-Strap Sandals with Moon and Star Details by Aquazzura

Aquazzura Night Stars gold sandals: These gold sandals have fine straps and moon-and-star details that suit an evening under the Las Vegas lights. They are a dress shoe, not the pair for a long afternoon of walking. Keep comfortable shoes in the suitcase and save these for dinner.
Black Strapless Gown with a Ruched Bodice by Retrofête

Retrofête Waldorf black gown: For a more dressed-up evening, the black Waldorf gown gives you a long, clean line with texture through the ruched bodice. Add gold earrings and a clutch rather than a stack of competing details. Check the hem with the shoes you plan to wear before packing it.
Gold Shell Stud Earrings for Dinner by Jennifer Behr

Jennifer Behr Mar gold shell earrings: These gold shell studs bring a little warm shine to a bare neckline. The sculptural shape is enough on its own with a strapless gown, and it also gives a simple daytime look a more finished feel. Pack them in a small jewelry case so the pair stays together.
Black Pilot Sunglasses with Triomphe Hardware by Celine

Celine Triomphe pilot sunglasses: Black acetate pilot frames are the daytime counterpoint to all the evening sparkle. The Triomphe hardware adds a polished detail without changing the easy shape. Wear them with a simple travel outfit and keep them in their case between breakfast, the pool and the flight home.
Green Shimmer One-Piece Swimsuit with Tie Details by Oserée

Oserée Lumière green swimsuit: A green shimmer one-piece is a fun change from a plain black swimsuit. The thin straps and side ties keep the shape light. It earns its suitcase space for a pool afternoon between dinner plans, with the black kaftan worn over it when you leave the water.
Black Broderie Anglaise Kaftan with a Tie Waist by Melissa Odabash

Melissa Odabash Talitha black kaftan: Black broderie anglaise, scalloped edges and a tie waist make this kaftan feel like part of the outfit. Wear it over the green swimsuit for pool time, then change into your dinner clothes rather than asking a cover-up to work for a restaurant dress code.
A Small Las Vegas Weekend Packing List
- One dinner dress with the shoes and small bag you will wear with it.
- A comfortable travel outfit that also works for breakfast.
- A light layer for the theatre and hotel.
- Swimwear and a cover-up if pool time is part of the plan.
- Sunglasses, sunscreen and a small jewelry case.
- Comfortable walking shoes, separate from your dinner shoes.

Keep the Las Vegas Weekend Small
One dinner-and-concert outfit, one daytime outfit and a layer are a better start than a suitcase full of possibilities. Check the forecast, the restaurant dress code and the venue bag policy close to departure. Then leave room for a slow breakfast before heading home.
