Recently, LessSpinach and I tried out the Glamsquad services and scheduled the team to come to my house to give us manicures and pedicures and to do LessSpinach’s hair. We each had a team member work on our manicures and pedicures separately and another team member showed up to do LessSpinach’s hair.
We had them set up in my dining area so that we had the most light to shoot the photos and the team members could put all their products and equipment on a flat surface so they can grab everything quickly. The hair stylist and nail artist worked on LessSpinach’s hair and nails at the same time. They set up very quickly and spoke to LessSpinach about her hair style preferences and nail color preferences and immediately started work. I was set up on the other end of the table and my nail artist worked with me to choose a nail color that would work for me and she started to work right away as well.
The hair stylist gave LessSpinach a long wavy look by using a curling iron. First, the hair stylist brushed out LessSpinach’s hair and then curled long strands all around her head and then set the curls with some light pleasant smelling hairspray. It was amazing how quickly she worked and how effortless she made it look. LessSpinach’s curls were perfectly wavy without being too curly and framed her face.
The nail artist worked with LessSpinach to choose a fun shade she wanted to wear for the beginning of summer and they settled on a chrome silver nail polish that was neutral and special at the same time. LessSpinach wanted her nails to be a longer length so the nail artist kept the longer length of her nails and cut them down very slightly before shaping them to an oval shape. LessSpinach chose a blood orange color for her pedicure to show off her tan since we are newly tanned from our week on a boat in Croatia.
My nail artist helped me choose the most perfect nude shade from their Essie Extended Wear nail polish collection. I always choose a nude neutral because I do not like color on my nails and this nude color was the perfect shade for me. We chose the shade Captivate Me for both my fingers and my toes and shaped my nails to a rounded square shape and kept them short since I work on my laptop so much.
While the team members worked, we chatted and the time flew by quickly. The hair stylist finished first and left to go to her next appointment and soon after our manis and pedis were also finished.
The Glamsquad team members all come with their own mats and tubs for pedicures and they kept their work areas very clean. As soon as they finished, they cleaned up and left without a trace as if they were never there.
I would definitely recommend Glamsquad to all busy working moms and everyone out there who wants to cut down on their travel time between errands or anyone who does not have the time to drive from appointments to appointments on a Saturday or Sunday afternoon.
