A cafe who is in the business of kindness
By now you may have already known what La La Land is. A place that represents our very dreams, where you can feel a true sense of joy for life. A place where you can be yourself and everyone is kind to accept you for who you are. And this is what La La Land Kind Cafe is all about.
This cafe in Santa Monica caught my attention not only because of its bright colors but because of their mission of hiring foster youth and spreading kindness.
La La Land Cafe believes that people should always go before profits. They are raising the standards of what we can expect from businesses. One that is able to give back and care about their community while giving quality service & products. Making profit and being ale to help others at the same time.
LA LA LAND INTERNSHIP PROGRAM
La La Land flagship store runs an 8-week internship program for the foster youth. During their 8 weeks they learn life skills, on-the-job training, customer service, and mentorship.
At the end of the internship, the youth can decide what they are passionate about and what career fields they want to go in. They then help them with job placement, housing, schooling, and therapy.
