The Club 55 Beach Club in Saint Tropez and What to Wear There
Here’s what to wear at Club 55 in St-Tropez with our ultimate summer 2025 packing guide — featuring effortless Riviera style, chic outfit ideas, and must-have accessories.
I’ll never forget my first time walking across Pampelonne beach toward the iconic striped awning of Club 55—footprints in sand, a gentle sea breeze, and the bright excitement that comes with finally arriving. It’s a mix of glamour and casual ease that feels unearned if you’re in heels or overdone swimwear.
This isn’t just a packing list—it’s a playbook for navigating Saint‑Tropez in peak summer days:
- How to look polished walking through sandy pathways
- What to sip while waiting for lunch by the sea
- The exact styles that belong at a luxe beach club… without trying too hard
Below, I’ve kept some of my original insights but fully updated the picks for today, including shoppable options—because a guide this good should pay for itself.
One of the most amazing places we visited while in Saint Tropez in the South of France was Club 55. This legendary restaurant with beach chairs on the beach is like a fancy Paradise Cove restaurant and beach in Malibu, California. If you have never been to the South of France, Club 55 is one of those restaurants on the beach where you can pay to rent a chair to hang out on for the day and order food. Club 55 has been around since the 1950’s and celebrities are known to frequent the restaurant in the summer. On the day we were there the paparazzi camped out in front of our chairs to wait for Gwyneth Paltrow to come off her boat from Cannes.

We loved everything about Club 55 from the food to the gift shop. It was a great way to spend the day in Saint Tropez. Of course we ordered their Le Club 55 rose at lunch along with their classic crudite platter and artichokes.
They also have one of the best gift shops I have seen in any beach area. Their shop had totes, dresses, hats, swimsuits, sunscreen, and everything in between. We bought a few things from the shop of course.
Another shot of the shop at Club 55 along with their outdoor bar which serves smoothies and alcoholic beverages all day long.
Chic, Not Trying
St‑Tropez isn’t about dressing up—it’s about dressing the way you feel: easy, confident, polished, and perfectly positioned for a sea breeze.
Remember: the best seats at Club 55 come with sand in your toes—not heels.
Book that table early (you’ll want to request it in writing), wear linen that wrinkles, not crinkles, and bring what fits the vibe: effortless luxury, but no fuss.
