While an influencer can be a way to promote your brand, they are not a billboard for you to hire out and slap whatever message you want on them. Influencers have worked hard to build their audiences. They don’t appreciate brands that attempt to force overly promotional content onto their followers. Customers enjoy authenticity, and your brand shouldn’t threaten that aspect for influencers.
Instead, you need to create something that influencers are willing (and even possibly excited) to promote. If you can’t do that, then no one benefits. Building a content marketing plan for your influencers means that you prepare things in advance, have enough time to work out any potential issues an influencer may have, and keep your marketing efforts moving on schedule.
