Why I love Spool Boutique in Los Angeles
I recently visited the Spool Boutique in Los Angeles and I will tell you why I love the Spool Boutique in Los Angeles. Imagine walking into the dream closet of one of of your good friends with the most impeccable taste and everything is something that you want to take home and can take home. This is the idea behind Spool Boutique. The boutique is invite only and hidden behind a residential area in Los Angeles. The store has a tranquil garden where you can sit and hang out and the store is filled with all the goodies that you would find in the most exclusive big city boutiques with the best service of any luxury brand in the city. When you walk in you are greeted by Jaime a cool twenty something who knows exactly what you will like after chatting with you for a few minutes and pulls everything so it is ready for you to try on in the big roomy dressing room. Gina, who has owned the boutique for 12 years now, was a stylist and has lots of experience with different body types is usually there to hang out and chat with you while you shop. She will tell you about the latest trends in fashion or chat with you about food, wine, the news, or anything in between.
Why I love Spool Boutique in Los Angeles is Because of the Local Designers
Gina is always on the lookout for the best designer fashions, but she also wants to make sure she sources some of the newest local designers in Los Angeles. She wants you to find something new that you love that you have never found before. I love that about her. As a shopper, I am always looking for something new that not everyone has already, and Gina is great about finding some of the best undiscovered local designers from Los Angeles. Last time I was there, I found a pair of black paperbag waist cropped trousers from a local designer in Topanga Canyon. The linen high waist cropped pants are genius because they are both flattering and the perfect length. I immediately put them on the checkout desk because Gina found me a no brainer pair of pants for summer travels and beyond. Imagine finding these perfect pair of pants in some big department store where you cannot even find someone to help you checkout. Yup, you wouldn’t find them there. And if these pants were at a department store, they would be lost in the shuffle or your size would not be on the rack and the salesperson would be MIA so you would not be able to ask for the correct size. That is just one of the reasons to shop with Gina at Spool Boutique.
Why I love Spool Boutique in Los Angeles is Because of the Curated Designer Fashions
At Spool Boutique you will also find the best of the best brands. You will not find racks and racks of every designer, but of the designers that you will find in this boutique, you will find the best pieces from each of the designers. When I shopped recently, I found a few pieces from my favorite designer Ulla Johnson that I had not seen in any other boutiques in the surrounding areas. Other boutiques may have carried the Ulla Johnson piece in black or a version of the dress I wanted in a top, but I found the pieces I wanted from Ulla Johnson at Gina’s boutique. She carried the dress I was coveting and a dress I owned in black in a cream version I had never seen and it happened to be on her sale rack for 50% off! She also carries Raquel Allegra, Xirena, The Great, and many other designers that are curated down to the best pieces from each designer per season so you don’t have to search through racks and racks of clothing to find your correct size or designer piece.
Why I love Spool Boutique in Los Angeles is Because They Make It Easy for You To Shop
Another reason I love Spool Boutique in Los Angeles is because they make it easy for you to shop. Yes, they are invite only, but they are also available to shop online at www.shopspool.com or you can join Stylepass with them and they can send you a curated box monthly in your budget and you can choose what you like and send back what you do not want. Gina gives you a lengthy questionnaire that helps her get to know your likes and dislikes and she chooses a few outfits for you to try on at home. Another way you can shop with Spool Boutique is through their messenger service. If she sends you a photo of something and you want to buy it, they will arrange for a messenger to drop it off. Or if you see the piece on Instagram and you live in Los Angeles, she will also messenger the pieces to you.
AND if you want to go see her boutique in person, go to her Instagram and introduce yourself and tell her that Susana from Shopping and Info referred you. Maybe you will get an in person by appointment shopping experience.
Here I am in one of the Ulla Johnson dresses I got from Spool Boutique. I have more outfits coming soon from her boutique, but wanted to show this one with the post. Photo of me below by Molly + Co. My make up is by Beauty Beyond LA Make Up and Skincare Concierge Service.
