Little Black Dresses
Who could forget the time when Audrey Hepburn debuted a sheath little black dress by Givenchy in her movie Breakfast at Tiffany’s? That was so groundbreaking. The history of little black dress or most known as LBD goes a long way. Women wear black for mourning when someone dies. The contemporary version of this dress first came into fashion in the 1920s, thanks to Coco Chanel, a Parisian designer. Through the years, many designers made their own versions of LBD and until now we can see it in every season. For me, wearing a black dress gives me a classic look. In the search for the perfect LBD, what I’m eyeing right now is this lace mini dress by Ganni. Its high neckline and exaggerated puff sleeves, two things I’m really loving this season. I also love how Balmain brings glamour to LBD with their signature double-breasted pieces. Also in my list is this Vivienne Westwood black drape dress. What’s your favorite Little Black Dress?
