#6 – Be Active on Your Channels
By “channels,” I mean your vlog and whatever social media platform(s) you might be using. You will discover that some work better than others in reaching your target audience. Don’t waste time or money in places where people aren’t following you. Figure out where the money is and concentrate your efforts there.
#7 – Upload at Predictable Intervals
I already mentioned the concept of consistency and it is one that is absolutely vital for success. State in your videos when your fans will hear from you again and upload when you say you will. You’ll be forgiven for missing the mark once in a while, but if you consistently promise a video on Tuesday but don’t upload until Friday, don’t expect people to stick around.
#8 – Ask for Likes, Subscribes, and Shares
A strong call to action at the end of your vlog to like your video and subscribe to your channel will really boost engagement, as will encouraging interaction on all your social channels. Feel free to promote your latest blog in your video and provide links to it.
Encourage shares, re-tweets, re-blogs, etc. Don’t be afraid to self-promote; people typically don’t do anything unless they’re told, even if they are enthusiastic about your content.
