The Perks of a Skincare “Side Gig”
America is in the throes of a new “gig economy,” but this new economy isn’t one that’s rife with uncertainty like the “side gigs” of years past. With hustle and grit, men and women can make extra income to support their families or even their vacation funds. Social media has, in part, made the side gig economy possible, but good old fashioned hard work and dedication to the job is crucial to a side gig’s success.
Rodan + Fields is the number one skin care brand in America, according to a recent survey from Euromonitor. This is, no doubt, impressive on its own, but it takes on special meaning when you consider this: you can’t buy any R+F product in stores.
That’s right. All R+F products and regimens come from independent consultants and online sales, with some 300,000 of us spread throughout the world. Running a side gig takes some dedication, but motivated sellers have the potential to seriously increase their income.
I’ve been educating clients and potential customers about the benefits of R+F for a long time. And I wanted to illustrate some of being part of such a successful brand journey. Here’s why it works for me:
- With R+F, you can work from home, in your pajamas, while watching Netflix and drinking a glass of your favorite Pinot Grigio. How many people can say that?
- You can work as little or as much as you want. It’s perfect for supplementing your current income if you need a little extra cash. But, with appropriate time and work, it could be way more than just a “side hustle” – it could be your sole source of income.
- Financial freedom. How many of us couldn’t use a little extra money each month? It can be difficult living paycheck to paycheck, as many Americans do. Secure a little extra cash for groceries, sock a little away for retirement, or even save up for a down payment on your house. That’s what owning your own business can do.
The gig economy is here to stay. Three hundred thousand consultants can’t be wrong – R+F works, both its products and its business model. Why haven’t you joined the movement yet?
